From Wine Bar Manager to Chocolates & Cheers
After over ten years running The Wine Experience on Cannery Row in Monterey, California, I decided to kick back and enjoy retirement in early 2026. My travels took me to Belgium, where I stumbled upon a chocolate-making class that paired delicious hand-crafted chocolates with local beers — and it ignited a brand new passion.
It all clicked for me one day: combining the art of chocolate-making with a sumptuous wine tasting at The Wine Experience sounded absolutely perfect. Thus, Chocolates & Cheers was born.
I look forward to sharing this unforgettable experience with you — whether you're coming as a couple, with friends, for a team outing, or a private celebration.

Hands-On Chocolate Making
You'll temper real chocolate, craft truffle shells, fill them with ganache, and seal them — all from scratch. No experience needed, just enthusiasm.
Central Coast Wine & Beer
Sip four curated Central Coast wines (or swap for craft beers) as you work. The pairing makes the whole experience richer — and more fun.

Classes are hosted at The Wine Experience on the iconic Cannery Row in Monterey, California — one of the most beautiful settings on the Central Coast.
Occasionally, classes may need to be rescheduled due to The Wine Experience's own group bookings. It's rare, but if it happens, Carrie will reach out directly to find a new time that works for you.
